The Relationship Between Locus of Control and Religious Believe with Mental Health in Students of Mazandaran University of Medical Science (2010)

Background and Purpose: The mental health is one of the pillars of health, especially in effective and constructive classes in a society. The essential dynamics, development and promotion of the society are due to mental health. We consider religion as a means that relate us to a higher and eternal power that is God. It can be a very strong psychological support. The purpose of this article is to study the relationship between locus of control and religious believe with mental Health of students in Mazandaran University of Medical Science. Materials and Methods: This descriptiveanalytic study has done on 300 students of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences selected randomizedstratified according to population based (population 2,000). GHQ28 questionnaires with 28 items in field of Public Health, Temple questionnaire with 65 questions regarding religious beliefs and Rotter Locus of Control questionnaire with 29 questions related to the locus of control, were distributed randomly among students in each class.
