Multi-frequency, multi-polarization N-port printed planar antennas

With the increased development of wireless communications, compact, multi-frequency and multi-polarization planar antennas become highly desirable. Such antennas would greatly simplify the installation of multiband systems and provide a much more aesthetic appearance. Various multiport printed planar antennas have been recently designed and realized in our laboratory. They are all based on combining an SSFIP ("Strip-Slot Foam Inverted Patch") antenna with another structure mounted over it. With this principle, very good isolations between antennas and compact design are obtained.
