Abstract This paper presents the design of a transportation system for travel planning. The core of this system is an ontology of transport that contains all required knowledge related to user preferences. Using the constraints and rules of the transportation domain, the system propose different possibilities of itinerary to the user. Different queries about relevant information of the itinerary are also available. Inferences and queries are executed by Jess engine that works integrated with Protege. Some examples of use are presented.
