Design Comparison of Peak Current Mode Switching Power Converter for DC Distribution Systems

The output voltage range of the dc-dc converter is different according to loads. As control circuit parameters should be changed by the circuit specification, the performance evaluation is necessary for each design. The purpose of this paper is the performance evaluation of the proposed peak current mode buck converter, which is designed for different dc loads in dc distribution systems. The control circuit design is conducted for 5V and 3V output dc-dc converters. The design method is evaluated in terms of load regulation and transient response. Also, its trade-offs are revealed.
