컨테이너터미널 게이트 운영효율성 향상을 위한 모바일 애플리케이션 구축 사례연구

The largest terminal solely for containers, "K" container terminal has introduced a smartphone function into its terminal operation system. Named “SmartLo,” the mobile application is an application created to enable the drivers of trucks transporting containers to confirm diverse types of information for entering and leaving harbors on smartphones. This study, presents cases of the development of the mobile application “SmartLo” at container terminal gates. By using the “SmartLo” service, container terminals are expected to see the effect of minimizing external information errors through prior information checking, resolving disorder inside the gates, enhancing customer service through the quick entry and exit of freight, and reducing costs through the issuance of smart slips. From the viewpoint of transport vehicles, quick passage through the gates improves the transport turnover and makes possible the timely transport of freight; and, from the viewpoint of shipping companies, efficient vehicle allocation management is expected to be possible. This study discussed in detail requirement analysis, business process analysis, and items related to development including design with respect to the “SmartLo” application and confirmed, through the analysis of actual cases of applying the “SmartLo” application, an increase in the operational efficiency of container terminals.
