Volume measurement based on serial ultrasound tomograms.

Abstract A system for measuring volume interactively as a stack of slices from serial tomograms especially for ultrasound is described. This technique will be effective for measuring the volume of the hollow portion of objects with irregular shape, e.g. the right ventricle of the heart or a cyst of the kidney.
