A novel internal antenna of compact 2-channel MIMO for handy terminal is presented for WiBro(Wireless Broadband Internet) which operating at 2.35 GHz band. The proposed antenna is designed for minimum space occupation on PCB board of a mobile device so that the circuit design of a mobile device is convenient. We investigated for the reduction of mutual coupling between antenna elements. To decrease the mutual coupling, it is considered the projected(O) ground structure. By the adoption of the projected ground plane, the proposed antenna shows very low mutual coupling and also very low radiation coupling. The proposed antenna is well tuned in the 2.3 - 2.45 GHz WiBro band and have over 150 MHz (6%) bandwidth. The mutual coupling is under -17 dB at 2.35 GHz. Additionally, it is examined the S- parameters and radiation patterns with case of practical mobile device.
