This comprehensive book is intended as a reference source for engineers and scientists active in this field, as well as an introduction for those new to the subject. The book, a revised version of the author's "Radiometirc System Design", is divided into two main sections. The first section covers electro-optical systems, giving a detailed overview of the essential components of remote sensing and point-to-point communications systems. The second section covers detailed design and gives a detailed review of practical design considerations including optical media, optical systems and data processing techniques.
