Using JAKE: A Guide for the Slavic Specialist

ABSTRACT JAKE (Jointly Administered Knowledge Environment) is an electronic reference resource that helps patrons and librarians locate which online databases index and/or give the full-text content of thousands of periodicals. Even if your library does not have a subscription to the online (or print) versions of these periodicals, chances are still good that much of the journal's electronic content will be available through a third-party electronic resource. The author briefly describes how to use JAKE and how to access it. He also gives some of its limitations.
