Interoperability test of digital substation based on IEC61850

An IEC61850-based interoperability test platform is built to test the interoperability of a 220 kV digital substation.The basic test principle is introduced,which focuses on the interoperability of IEC61850 -based application level.The interoperability test plan is designed and the communications between process and bay levels,between bay and bay levels and between bay and substation levels are tested.Test results are compared between two main protection manufacturers,including the four remote functions,the commu- nication between process and bay levels,the interoperation of protective equipment,etc.,which shows that,most functions of tested equipment are interoperable.
