The method mainly includes: receiving an external interface specification uploaded by an external system, wherein the external interface specification comprises a file name corresponding to materials and a storing address of the materials in the external system; and calling the corresponding materials in the external system according to the file name and the storing address in the external interface specification. By means of the material obtaining method and the studio system, the external system can conveniently upload the materials to the studio system according to protocol stipulation, and limiting on formats of the materials is eliminated, the interactive dependent relation of the local studio system and the external system is removed, and function expansion of the external system and independence and completeness of the studio system are facilitated.
