A Novel CPW-fed Bow-tie Slot Antenna for 5.8GHz RFID Tags

A Novel Bio-Tie slot antenna with CPW-fed structure is presented. The designed antenna, which is fabricated on a 35 £ 25mm substrate can operate at the 5.8GHz band with 51% broad bandwidth (s11 < i10dB) and gain 3.9dBi, respectively. The radiation patterns are almost omni-directional in H-plane. All these properties and the uniplanar structure make the antennas suitable for 5.8GHz Radio Frequency Identiflcation applications.
