Petri nets and mot for modelling and analysis of deds

Abstract This paper presents a modification to OMT, to model and analyse discrete-event dynamic systems (DEDSs). It shows how Petri-net theory can be used to improve the representation and analysis of the dynamic model of a system that is specified using OMT. Finally the technique is illustrated by its application to a prototype high-speed software-controlled can-sorting machine.
