Prediction of wave propagation over digital terrain by parabolic equation model

This paper studies the method of extracting two-dimensional terrain profile of the earth great circle from the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) data for the arbitrary wave propagation path, uses the bilinear interpolation method to obtain the elevation value of the arbitrary location on the terrain profile, and compares the result with the result of the GIS software to verify the correctness. Based on the topographic data, this paper uses the two-dimensional parabolic equation model to predict the characteristics of the wave propagation over the irregular terrain, the result shows that the method can quickly simulate the problem of wave propagation on arbitrary terrain and provides a effective method to quickly and accurately calculate the characteristics of the wave propagation in the real environment.
