Biogeochemical techniques used in British Columbia by-pass some of the problems of soil sampling in exploiting usefulness of arsenic as an indicator element. Arsenic content of ash from stems or needles of Douglas Fir, new or second-year growth, shows large anomalies in mineralized areas, even where soil samples show little or no anomaly.W.S.W
