Sensorless speed control of permanent magnet synchronous motor system based on active disturbance rejection control

In this paper, an active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) scheme combined with phase-locked loop (PLL) is proposed for sensorless speed control of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) system. The extended state observer (ESO) is employed to estimate the back electromotive force (EMF), and a PLL is designed based on the trigonometric function to extract the rotor speed signal. Then, an ADRC scheme is designed on the basis of estimated speed to ensure that the accurate speed control performance. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
