Object-Oriented Design of E-Government System: A Case Study

E-government systems have become wide spread in more and more countries. However, e-government development systems are too complex to design. This paper firstly analyses the functions and services of government and the possibility of their digitalization. Secondly this paper analyses the overall requirement of e-government systems. Finally an object-oriented design (OOD) is introduced, which is an effective method for design e-government systems. OOD process, composed of five major steps, is illustrated in the case of passport application system in detail.
