Simulation and Analysis for Air Filling /Extraction System of Labyrinth Sealing Based on Fluent

Fluent software was used to make two phase flow transient simulation for the straight labyrinth seal and staged labyrinth seal of air filling / extraction system. When the flow field was in a stable condition,its pressure,velocity,and phase diagram were analyzed. It is verified that the non-contact power sealing system has effective sealing function with minimum friction loss. It provides new ideas for sliding bearing seal design of high-speed electric spindle.
