A Model-based Estimation Of DNA Synthesis Rate From Bivariate DNA-BrdU Distribution

A model of the bivariate DNA-BrdU distri- bution is proposed. An algorithm for deriving DNA synthe- sis rate profile and related parameters from a single bivariate distribution measured at the end of a BrdU pulse is devel- oped. The procedure, evaluated on simulated data, allows reliable estimation of the relevant parameters.
