Load frequency control of multi area power system with de-regulation using OKHA

This paper presents a scheme for Load frequency control (LFC) of interconnected multi-area multi source power generation. The conventional multi-area LFC system is modified to take into account the effect of unilateral contracts on the dynamics. The classes of extensive deregulated cases are presented by examining the closed loop performance of the model. The results under simulation reveals that the designed power system model may a feasible one and the proposed algorithm may be a well-known optimization technique under these circumstances of Oppositional Krill Herd algorithm(OKHA). The performances of proportional integral-derivative (PID) are evaluated for the proposed AGC system. The gain of the controllers and parameters of speed regulation are optimized using differential evolution (DE) algorithm.
