Ship Passage Layout Optimization Model and PSO Algorithm

Ship compartments are connected organically by the passage,and the rational layout of the passage could increase the efficiency of all the functional subsystems of the ship.Taking ideas from the theory and methodology of facility layout problems,the multi-objective model of optimal ship passage layout was established to minimize the cost of personnel movement and logistics under combat status,damage control status,emergency escape status and underway replenishment status.The unified objective function was established based on the minimum deviation method with weight.The modified PSO algorithm was used to solve the model of ship passage layout optimization.The shortest path and distance between beginning and ending points was calculated using Floyd algorithm of the graph theory.Finally,an example of passage layout was given,which verified the rationality of the passage layout optimization model,and the effectiveness for modified PSO algorithm to solve ship passage layout design problem.
