25.1: Distinguished Contributed Paper: STColor: Hybrid Spatial-Temporal Color Synthesis for Enhanced Display Image Quality

A novel method of synthesizing display color by hybrid color processing in both the spatial and temporal domains is described. The method, its rational basis in vision science and various applications to different types of displays are described. Supporting analyses reveal substantial improvements in image quality are obtainable with this new method.
