Acquisition Performance Analysis for Pilot Pulsed UWB Communication System

In this paper,acquisition performance analysis for pilot pulsed UWB synchronization scheme is proposed.The pilot pulsed UWB scheme separates the acquisition procedure into two steps: chip acquisition and code synchronization.Once the chip acquisition achieved,the multipath components can be acquired without the knowledge of channel information,by utilizing the samples in energy window as the local template waveform.For AWGN,theoretical analysis is consistent with simulation results.Furthermore,the simulation results for CM1-CM4 indicate that the pilot pulsed synchronization scheme can achieve satisfactory performance.
