Zur Struktur des Nardosinons, V1) Die Konstitution des Nardofurans

Fur das Nardofuran, das mit methanolischer Kalilauge aus dem Sesquiterpen-peroxid Nardosinon (2) uber das Oxidoketon 1 entsteht, wird die Struktur des 10-Hydroxy-2,2,9,9a-tetramethyl-1,2,7,8,9,9a-hexahydro-1,4-methano-3-benzoxepin-5(4H)-ons (5) abgeleitet und durch Darstellung aus dem Diol 4 bewiesen. Structure of Nardosinone, V1). — The Constitution of Nardofurane The structure of nardofuran, which is formed via the oxidoketone 1 when the sesquiterpene peroxide nardosinone (2) is treated with methanolic potassium hydroxide, has been established as 10-hydroxy-2,2,9,9a-tetramethyl-1,2,7,8,9,9a-hexahydro-1,4-methano-3-benzoxepin-5(4H)-one (5) and has been confirmed by synthesis from the diol 4.
