Intelligent services integration in mobile ATM networks

An intelligent network is an architectural concept that can be applied to a variety of telecommunication networks including public switched networks, mobile networks, and integrated services digital networks. It aims to facilitate the introduction of new services such as virtual private network and free-calls by providing flexibility and capacities. The integration of intelligent services in ATM networks appears to be an attractive subject for researchers and service providers. In this paper, we study the design of intelligent services in wireless ATM and study the effect of the intelligent functions on the network performance by using an object-oriented simulation methodology using JAVA programming language.
