Apparatus and method for reducing power consumption of electronic products

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for reducing power consumption of an electronic product are provided to reduce power consumption of an electronic product by controlling power supply about the electronic product according to a power supply mode and a power off mode. CONSTITUTION: A power switching part(101) supplies an external power to an electronic product(100). A sensor part(118) detects an operation state of a load(116) of the electronic product, and outputs data. In case the electronic product satisfies a fixed control condition, a control part(108) stops an operation of the load of the electronic product. In case the electronic product does not satisfy a fixed control condition, the control part turns on the power switching part in order to operate the load.
