Simulation of a microstrip array using parallel FDTD on a supercomputer with 100K CPU cores

In this paper, using 100000 CPU cores, the parallel Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) algorithm based on MPI is firstly applied to analyze the radiation characteristic of a microstrip antenna array on the National Supercomputing Center in Jinan (NSCC-JN) successfully, which is a domestically-made supercomputer. And the parallel performance of the code is tested on it. The results show that the parallel efficiency can reach up to 65% on 10240 CPU cores. According to the analysis, the radiation patterns of the array are obtained, which have a good agreement with the ones from MoM.
