Application of FMOMILP for aggregate production planning: A case of multi-product and multi-period production model

The main aim of the paper is to find the compromised solution of the multiple conflicting objectives related to aggregate production planning with various constraints. This research incorporates multi-product, single site, and multi-period production model. The objectives involved in this problem are to minimize the total cost of production, minimize the fluctuation in manpower, maximize the total value of purchase, and minimize the shortages of the product in order to increase the customer satisfaction. The fuzzy multi-objective mixed integer linear programming (FMOMILP) has been used to find the compromised value of the objectives and the variables. The research is based on a Faridabad based multinational gear manufacturer company.
