A high step-up converter based on switched-capacitor voltage accumulator

A high step-up converter based on three-stage SCVA is proposed. The operation principle and performance analysis of it is evaluated in continuous conduction mode. It has a high voltage gain with low voltage stress across components of the SCVA, as well as a simple control circuit, which is regulated by the conventional pulse-width modulation technique at a constant frequency and duty cycle, as well as high component utilization ratio. And most of all, it can be developed into a novel multi-input step-up converter as its input source can be connected with any switched-capacitor cell. Experimental results obtained from the implemented prototypes with 85W are provided to verify the correctness and feasibility of the proposed step-up converter.
