A literature review for a 6-sigma perception of academic quality

The Critical to Quality factors in education has been a matter of debate discussions and amendments for a long time now. Owing to the dynamic market changes the definition of quality in academia has gone through magnanimous changes. Analogous to this industry is the service sector which also seeks definitions for quality and the methods and practices to measure the same, from time to time. This paper is a proposal to integrate two schools of thought, vis-à-vis Quality in Academics and The Six Sigma theory. A careful review of the various practices to maintain and measure quality is the Academia is taken up, while trying to match to the criteria to incorporate the philosophy of 6-sigma into the process.
