This article will implement the methodology for reducing waiting times in the printing process of a Flexographic company. To achieve the implementation of the methodology it was necessary to use the tools of continuous improvement of Lean Manufacturing: production philosophy that has been generating great impacts and has been followed by companies that want to increase their productivity, profitability and be more competitive in an increasingly market more demanding. Their procedures have been applied in the production of automobiles, however, their techniques and principles have been applied in different manufacturing processes and services. The Lean Manufacturing methodology mainly affects overproduction, waiting times, inventory, transport, waste and unnecessary times. [one] For the company it is necessary to include in its operation the continuous improvement tools, since the capabilities of the Flexographic printing process are exceeding 100% of its use and many opportunities for improvement are evidenced, such as the waiting times that It represents a 14% share of the total operating time, the decrease in these times has meant a challenge for the company since this leads to the implementation of a methodology of continuous improvement to increase efficiency, for this reason the operations team Creates methodology based on five specific steps in Lean Manufacturing tools: Step 1 Call for Novelty presented in machine, Step 2 Daily plant monitoring committee, Step 3 Weekly committee, step 3.1 Report Analysis, step 3.2 Root cause analysis, implementation of actions and monitoring of results. With the implementation of the methodology, a reduction of two percentage points in the waiting times is achieved.
