Performance Evaluation DMVPN Using Routing Protocol RIP, OSPF, And EIGRP

DMVPN is a VPN that uses multicast mechanism, using DMVPN we can make a lot of VPN networks. Many companies use DMVPN to communicate securely over the internet network rather than similar solutions like frame relay and ATM. DMVPN requires routing protocol to maximize its performance. This paper was conducted to compare the performance of DMVPN from three routing protocol using RIP, OSPF and EIGRP by using GNS3. The parameters used in this study is throughput, jitter, packet loss. The purpose of this paper is to show that the DMVPN phase 2 RIP has the highest throughput value. Then the DMVPN phase 2 EIGRP has the best jitter value. And the DMVPN phase 3 RIP has the highest packet loss value. And overall DMVPN phase 3 has the lowest value of other simulations.
