Fuzzy-model-based controller design for nonlinear electromagnetic suspension systems

In this paper, the problem of fuzzy-model-based control is investigated for electromagnetic suspension (EMS) systems. Firstly, the nonlinear EMS system is represented by a 4 rules' T-S fuzzy model. Then, a fuzzy state feedback controller is obtained to ensure the required mixed ℓ2-ℓ∞ performance of original EMS system to be achieved. The nonparallel-distributed compensation (PDC) scheme is employed to design this controller. Finally, sufficient conditions for the existence of such controllers are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities constrict.
