Performance examinations of Multi-User MIMO systems with a compact antenna cube

Performance of Multi-User Multi-Input Multi-Output (MU-MIMO) systems with a 15-port compact antenna cube is measured and studied in typical scenarios proposed in this paper. The cube provides 15 individual channels and is ideal for Multiuser MIMO communications, especially when transmit antenna selection technology is adapted. Experimental measurements were carried out to evaluate the performance of the antenna cube in different scenarios for multiuser MIMO communications. The results show that multiuser MIMO systems with the proposed compact antenna cube as AP antennas outperform those with dipole antennas which occupy the same number of RF channels but with much larger space.
