Cyber-physical joint simulation on small interference stability of power grid

Due to the delay in communication process of Wide Area Measurement System (WAMS), the control effect of damping controller with wide-area signal will be affected, which thereby will have an influence on the small signal stability of electric system. Based on communication simulation tool OPNET and combining power system simulation tool MATLAB, this paper builds Cyber-Physical joint simulation platform of power network, and makes simulation study on the small signal stability of electric system, putting forward the method of stimulating random delay in reality by normal distribution of delay. Finally, the proposed method is proved to be correct and effective through two-area four-machine system stimulation.
