Selection of Output Inductance Value of Active Power Filter

This paper derives a formula to estimate the output inductance value of a parallel active power filter on the basis of two_phase current control strategy. The formula is proved to be feasible through simulation analyses of compensation performances of the inductancc load, rectifier load and asymmetry load. Inductance value selected by this method is suitable for filter which has good compensation performances. After compensation, total harmonic distortion is low, dynamic response is fast and transient impulsion is low.
