Fuzzy priority heuristics for project scheduling

Abstract This paper presents a generalization of the known priority heuristic method for solving resource-constrained project scheduling problems (RCPS) with uncertain time parameters. The generalization consists of handling fuzzy time parameters instead of crisp ones. In order to create priority lists, a fuzzy ordering procedure has been proposed. The serial and parallel scheduling procedures which usually operate on these lists have also been extended to handle fuzzy time parameters. The performance of the method is presented on an example problem.
