A Resource Allocation Model Based on Customer Demand Preference and Product Iteration

As the headstream of the product life cycle, customer requirements are also the direct criteria of product manufacturing. In this paper a Resource Allocation Model Based on Customer Demand Preference and Product Iteration is proposed, which is different from the traditional system of product configuration oriented to different types of customers. Customer's performance for product elements is the key of the model; online product reviews are creatively applied to get performance sort to meet customer and market demand trends. Based on this model, the idea of iterative design based on the bill of material (BOM) is also applied to product configuration. With Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) and Complex Network Theory, hidden needs could be easily found. As feedback, product development efficiency is improved and costs are greatly reduced.
