Loss and bandwidth considerations in closed groove waveguides

The closed groove guide is studied for low loss applications in V-band; the attenuation of the fundamental mode and the upper cutoff frequencies are found. A comparison in terms of losses and bandwidth with the rectangular waveguide indicates that no clear advantage results.
