Improved Fault Diagnosis Method for Power Systems Based on Grey System Theory

It is a complex task for fault diagnosis of power systems. Aiming at the case of single fault node, an improved fault diagnosis method for power systems is proposed based on grey system theory. The method increases judgment on the grey dispersion of the test data on the basis of grey relational degree. The concept and calculation method of grey dispersion is put forward. The grey relational degree only considers the similarity of the two curves, and does not consider the distance, which affects the results of the fault diagnosis. The reliability of fault diagnosis is improved by the new method. A simple simulation analysis is conducted, which verifies the effectiveness of the results. Further research will be conducted in follow-up study.
