A PRÁTICA CORAL NA ATUALIDADE: SONORIDADE, INTERPRETAÇÃO E TÉCNICA VOCAL

This work is a reflection on the figure of the choral conductor in his tasks as sound builder, interpreter, and vocal coach. The article discusses the relevance of sonority in the choral performance and its adaptation to the various styles of choral music through the exploration and variation of stylistic aspects. Attention is called to the aspect of vocal preparation as the principal tool for the construction of choral tone as well as for the development of sound nuances pointing ways for the working of the various technical aspects of a choir sound: vocal production, diction, vocal registration, timbre, vibrato, blend, balance, intonation, rhythmic precision.
