Analysis of individual polychlorinated naphthalene congeners and dioxin-like compounds in a dated sediment core from Lake Kitaura, Japan.

75種類の塩素化ナフタレン (PCNs) 異性体中には, ダイオキシン類似の毒性を有するものが存在するが, 既存の分析法では共溶出を解決できず分離困難な異性体が存在する. 本研究では2種類のHPLCカラムを併用することで60種以上の異性体を分離分析することが可能である. また, 開発した分析法の検証として茨城県北浦より採取した長さ3mの柱状底質試料を用いてPCNs汚染の歴史的復元を行い, 異性体組成の鉛直分布から供給源の変化を推定した. PCNsの分布は深さ35cm (1960年代) から, 15cm (1980年代初め) にかけ増加し, 733pg/gを示した. 表層付近での濃度は徐々に減少しているが, その毒性等量 (TEQ) はほとんど減少していない. PCNsがダイオキシン類のTEQに占める割合は数パーセントであったが, PCNsにおけるTEQ変化と給源別に特徴的な異性体の濃度変化から表層では燃焼起源の汚染が増加していると推定される.
