Design of a novel biomimetic tilt sensor based on variable reluctive transducer

Most of the traditional tilt sensors are sensitive both to the rotation motion and to the translational motion. Their usage range is limited to static environment. Aiming that point, a kind of novel tilt sensor was presented to measure the tilt angle in dynamical environment based on bionics. The structure of the sensor is presented to illustrate its character of being sensitive to rotation motion and being insensitive to translational acceleration noise. A kind of variable reluctive sensor was designed to realize the goal of tilt angle measurement. Its working principle was analyzed. And a data sampling and data processing circuit was designed to realize the goal of non-electric transformation. The data sampling and processing program was been written to get the tilt angle from the sensor. The effect of the sensor is verified by experiments.
