Characteristic Analysis of Inertia and Damping of Directly-Driven Wind Generator System

When extensive direct-drive wind turbines connected to the grid, the grid frequency of systems may be unstable. The inertia and damping levels of traditional power systems, mainly thermal power and hydropower, are gradually weakened. For the sake of discussion causes of inertia and damping. Taking the direct-drive wind generator system as the research target, the DC voltage time model with wind inertia control is established. Drawing on the thought of multi-time scale moulding, the electrical torque analysis means is used to consider the inertia damping characteristics of the direct-drive wind power grid-connected system. Single machine infinite grid connection simulation model is established and tested to verify the feasibility of the DC voltage time model with wind inertia control.
