Applicability of Ray- and Beam-tracing Methods for Indoor Wireless Network Planning
暂无分享,去创建一个
This paper describes applicability of two deterministic methods in indoor wireless network planning. The applied tools are based on “ brute-force” 3D ray-tracing and “ image method” 2D beam-tracing. Both methods calculate total received signal power, as well as phase and delay profile for the defined area. The calculation includes, except direct, also transmitted and reflected rays. Algorithm is explained in detail with possible calculation procedures and computer resources required for each calculation. The calculated results are compared to measurements results on IEEE 802.11b equipment. Calculation time, accuracy and possible improvements are discussed. Possible areas of application are given.
