Automated teaching labs-one approach

The author gives some ideas on how introductory networks (circuits, electronics) are being developed in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He discusses the feeder relationship of the classroom lecture and related homework assignments and how these forerunners of the laboratory prepare the student to better utilize the related laboratory experience. He also attempts to correlate each of the areas identified (classroom-assignments-laboratory) and to define their relationship to the introduction of computers, specifically personal computers.<<ETX>>
