Changing demographic patterns warrant suitable Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) for enabling diverse trips. The general area of e-government has focused on efficient ways to deliver electronic information and services. This study considers a method for end-user involvement in assessing Advanced Traveler Information Systems (ATIS) within the service context of Advanced Public Transportation System (APTS). This paper describes the evaluation survey that was conducted for the study and qualitative, quantitative and subjective analyses of the responses. It was observed that there were some critical functions of the website responsible for quality of use satisfaction. Further, complexity of task influenced expectations from the trip planning systems. Future research steps might involve inquiring a larger base of user focus groups and understanding needs of administrators and planners involved in on-line ATIS/APTS activities.
