Adenosine-triphosphatase deficiency in a family with non-spherocytic haemolytic anaemia.

An earlier published family with ATP-ase deficiency and haemolytic anaemia has been reexamined. It is concluded that the trait is inherited as an irregular dominant. Digoxin sensitive ATP-ase activity seems to be more reduced than digoxin resistant activity, in some cases to zero in presumably heterozygotes. The possibility of an iso-enzyme system is proposed. No close linkage to any of a series of marker loci could be demonstrated.
