A regenerative push-pull differential logic family

This paper describes a regenerative push-pull differential logic (RPPDL) family. Complex Boolean functions are realized at one third the propagation delay of static differential logic. RPPDL is also up to 40% faster than other types of dynamic logic. Using RPPDL circuits, a 1.8 ns 64 b adder is achieved in a 0.70 /spl mu/m 3.0 V process technology. The relative performance of this circuit technology at the fundamental power supply limit is also analyzed and discussed.<<ETX>>
