An effective BSE-ST method for radar target detection in inhomogeneous clutter/interference environments

This paper proposed a novel BSE-ST processing framework for improving the detection performance of radar array in inhomogeneous clutter/interference environments. We suggested BSE algorithm based linear prediction and the localized GLR algorithm for this framework. The results showed that the detection probability is close to 1 when the normalized Doppler frequency is more than plusmn0.1 Hz under SINR ges -10 dB. The detection performance of the proposed method is close to that of the joint-domain optimal processing in homogeneous clutter/interference environments at this SINR. The feasibility and the effectiveness of the proposed method are verified.
